LIGHT OF CHRIST PRESCHOOL

We provide a faith-based community built on the foundation of Christ's love for all. LOC Preschool is an environment where families and school work together to insure a strong foundation for each child to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Our Mission at Light of Christ Preschool is "to recognize, respect and develop the uniqueness of each child." Established in 1991, the school's primary mission is to instill a love of learning in each student. Our curriculum skillfully weaves artistic and practical disciplines into everyday academics. Students learn in a developmentally appropriate environment that is academically enriched. Students will learn to work both independently and cooperatively with others.

Our Accreditation and References
Parents are our biggest supporters and our best references. Let us know if you would like to speak to a parent of our student to ask your own questions about their experience being part of LOC Preschool.

We are licensed by the State of Illinois and are currently accredited by:

 - Department of Children and Family Services

 - McHenry County Department of Health

 - American Association of the Red Cross

Parents of our children consistently commend our programs for preparing their children for success in elementary school. Additionally kindergarten teachers value our program's ability to provide both academic and social skills preparedness for the next stage in children's educational career.

At LOC preschool, we celebrate God's love for all children. We strive to instill integrity, compassion and confidence in each child. We give each child support and encouragement to become his or her own unique self.

SPECIAL CHILDREN'S EVENTS

Light of Christ Preschool believes in the value of family participation.  These are some of our once-a-year opportunities to share our Preschool experience with family to create lifetime memories.

FATHER'S DAY BREAKFAST

A Saturday morning for Dad's and preschoolers to put on their favorite sports team garb, enjoy a little food and fun getting to know the Preschool and other Dads with their kids.  Usually scheduled for the fall.

BREAKFAST WITH BABY JESUS

We gather to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus right before school lets out for Christmas break.  There treats and singing, and of course the baby Jesus!  A special memory for the season.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

Grandparents love to see their grandchildren flourish in their first school environment.  It is a great chance to have fun and do special activities with other important family members.  We usually gather offsite for this huge morning event during the winter.

MOTHER'S DAY TEA

Moms organize and run this incredible gathering to dress up (or not) and share some food while our children honor and love their moms with tons of cuteness!  Occurs in the Spring.  Sign up Here
