Choirs at Light of Christ praise the Lord with a new song breathing new life into timeless classic hymns and singing the latest songs from top contemporary Christian artists. Once you hit three years of age you are a member of the Light of Christ Choirs for life! Choirs kick-off in September and finish their season in May. Preschool – Kindergarten Choir is a fun time of music, dance, Bible reenactment, prayer, and circle time fun. During their 30 minute rehearsal Wednesdays 4:45 - 5:15pm with Miss. Melody these little singers learn how their songs relate to Jesus teaching and the special way their young voices bless God’s people. Choir is divided into three seasons: Season I (Sept and October) Season II (November through January – including the annual Christmas Pageant) and Season III (February through April) with one last special event for Mother’s Day. Singers can join us for just a season or two or for the entire year – it’s up to your family! Children’s Choirs then sing in Sunday morning worship approximately once a month rotating to the different Sunday worship services as well as special holidays and events. 1st – 5th Grade Choir is a high energy time of music, dance, Bible drama, prayer, and fun with friends. During their 45 minute rehearsal Wednesdays 5:15 - 6pm with Miss Melody these praise leaders learn how their songs relate to Jesus teaching and the unique way their worship blesses God’s people. Choir is divided into three seasons: Season I (Sept and October) Season II (November through January – including the annual Christmas Pageant) and Season III (February through April) with one last special event for Mother’s Day. Singers can join us for just a season or two or for the entire year – it’s up to your family! Girls’ Ensemble is geared to middle school and early high school aged girls, developing not only vocal skills and the art of being a worship leading choir. During their one hour practice Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30pm this group is steered by praise songs that the girls help choose. Girls then develop songs in two to three part harmony, eventually adding the praise band as accompaniment and developing their own stage presence in presenting music in worship as well as leading the congregation. Within rehearsal there’s plenty of time to connect as a team, apply God’s Word to life as a teen girl, and develop a community of sisters in Christ. Girls ensemble runs three seasons: Season I (Sept and October) Season II (November through January) and Season III (February through April) with one last special event for Mother’s Day.

The group even presents music occasionally at PATH events!

Adult Choir is open to anyone high school and up. This choir is an important part of blended worship at Light of Christ. In addition to singing choral arrangements, chorals, and praise music this group serves as worship leaders in service as well throughout the worship service. Rehearsing Thursday evenings adult choir runs September through May. There are many “short term” opportunities to get involved in choir as well, including the Advent & Christmas Season (November & December) and Lent & Easter Season (March & April).
