About Us

We have a dedicated staff and amazing church volunteers that work together to live out our mission in this community. We strive to build a comfortable environment for people to grow closer to God no matter where they are in their faith walk.  Our community is a thriving group of God's people, all age groups and ethnicities, reflecting the surrounding community of Algonquin and it's neighboring towns.  We truly believe this: You belong here!

We are a church that loves to meet new people, hungers to grow in faith, and is passionate about serving.

When you walk through our doors we hope that you feel the joy, peace and hope our community cherishes. We are a group of individuals that embraces everyone wherever they are in their journey with God. We hope that you can truly experience a sense of God's presence in worship. After worship, engage in conversation with our pastors. Take advantage of our coffee bar.  It is our joy to give you the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ in a welcoming environment. Join us this weekend and meet some others on a journey with Him.

This is a 15-20 minute "meet & greet" for newcomers to Light of Christ, taking place once a month after both the 9:00am and 10:30am services.  We gather in the Library (down the main hallway on your right) and we'll have some refreshments to share. Check the LOC APP under Events or click here to go to our calendar.

Newcomers to Light of Christ are invited to come and share a pizza dinner with Pastor Kendall and Pastor Sharon. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know you, and also for you to connect with others who are also just starting out at Light of Christ. You’ll also receive some great information about LOC!! To see upcoming dates or to register for this free event, CLICK HERE. Complimentary childcare is available.

We invite you to join us for this one-time event to formalize your membership with Light of Christ Church.  Led by our pastors, come and enjoy a meal together and engage in a workshop designed to help you

·       discover your Spiritual Gifts,

·       continue to grow in your faith

·       be a part of a healthy, vibrant church community.
